Evan Crichton - Bright Our Broken Days (ep)
Evan Crichton may be in the top 50 most eligible men in Scotland according to The Scotsman newspaper but more importantly, his debut ep ‘Bright our broken days’ finds his sparkling vocal and song writing skills coming to the fore.
Opener ‘Cracks’ sets the tone with downbeat backing but soaring delivery and tale of hope and throughout the record, this mood and vein carries on. ‘Shine for me, Hal’ has a woozy church organ intro and theres a lot of different instruments peppering this album however, they all pale compared to Evans voice.
Theres enough to showcase the talent that Evan carries and if you get the chance to check him out live, get yourself along.
